Trip Introduction

After 2-3 days of well acclimatizing in Leh and setting of from Leh on our29 days trip, An exceptionally remote trek takes us complete off the beaten track on a magical 29 days Zanskar Trip which takes us around most of the Zanskar region reaching the 5,150m, we cross the highest pass on our trip Pikdong la on the way from Dipling village days Zanskar Trek is a great introductory trek for experiencing the Zanskar region. we drive along the Indus River on Leh – Srinagar highway. Enroute we visit some of the ancient monastery Alchi – lamayuru villages and pass through beautiful valley of Suru lies beneath the twin peak of Nun and Kun. Beginning to trek from beautiful village of Rangdum we climb to Pikdong la and pass through remote village of Dibling. Joining the Lingshed trail after crossing the Barmi La we walked on route which is known for many year as Junglam trek – Hemis trail. Ancient track, old pack horse trail and we cross numbers of villages. Finally following the Tserap river chu we climb to our last high pass of Char char la and enter in Ladakh { Markha Valley . DAY 1 :DEPART- ARRIVE DELHI, AT LEISURE

DAY 2 : FLY TO LEH (3,500m/11,500ft).

DAY 3 : AT LEISURE IN LEH, ACCLIMATISATION.

DAY 4 : DRIVE TO ALCHI (3,130m/10,269 ft), VIEW TEMPLES

DAY 5 :DRIVE TO MULBAK (3,780m/12,401ft). 5/6 hours

DAY 6 :DRIVE TO RANGDOM GOMPA (4,100m/13,451ft) 3 or 4 hours’ drive

DAY 7 :TREK TO KANJI NALA RIVER CAMP, OR HELL CAMP (4,320m/14,173ft).6-6½ hours’ trek.

DAY 8 :CROSS THE PUDZONG LA PASS (4,895m/16,060ft), 8 hours’ trek or 7½ hours if you use Hell Camp.

DAY 9 : TREK TO SUMDO CAMP BEYOND DIBLING (3,870m/12,697ft). 5½ hours’ trek

DAY 10 : TREK TOWARDS BARMI LA BASE (4,005m/13,140ft). 5 hours’ trek

DAY 11 : CROSS THE BARMI LA PASS, (4,680 m / 15,354 ft), TREK TO LINGSHED(4,010m/13,156ft). 7½ hours’ trek

DAY 14 : TCROSS THE MURGUM LA PASS (4,310m/14,140ft), CROSS THE KIUPA LA PASS(4,465m/14,649ft), CONTINUE TO YULCHUNG (4,000m/13,123ft), 7 hrs’ trekking.

DAY 15 : DESCEND TO THE ZANSKAR RIVER (3,420m/11,220ft), TREK TO NYERAK VILLAGE(3,680m/12,073ft), AND CONTINUE TO LABAR LA BASE (4,700m/15,420ft). 8 hrs’ trek.

Day 15 Trek Tsazar Sumdo – Konglumtse.Today many small river crossing easy ascending to walk. On the way good chance to meet Yak .o/n camp.

DAY 16 : CROSS THE LABAR LA PASS (4,925m/16,158ft), TREK TO NAMTSE LA SUMDO(3,810m/12,5000ft). 9 hours’ trekking.

DAY 17 : CROSS NAMTSE LA PASS (4,465m/14,649ft), DESCEND TO HONIA (3,525m/11,565ft). TREK TO MEADOW CAMP BEFORE ZANGLA, (3,485m11,434ft). 7½ to 8 hours’ trekking.

DAY 18 : REST DAY IN ZANGLA. POSSIBLE VISIT TO PADUM ,KARSHA

DAY 19 : TREK TO SUMDO BEFORE CHARCHA LA BASE (3,845m/12,615ft) 6 hours’ trekking

DAY 20 :CROSS CHARCHA LA PASS (4,910m/16,109ft), TREK TO CHUPCHAK (4,495m/14,747ft).7 ½ hours’ trekking.

DAY 21 : TREK TO TOMTO (3,790m/12,434ft), 8 or 9 hours’ trekking

DAY 22 : TREK TO NYARI NYARSANG (3,770m/12,369ft), 3 ½ hours’ trekking.

DAY 23 :TREK TO RABRANG (4,310m/14,140ft) 7 hours’ trekking.

DAY 24 : CROSS THE ZALUNG KARPO LA PASS (5,090m/16,699ft), TREK TO TIKYU{ 4,615m, 141 ft} 6/1/2 hours trekking.

DAY 25 :CROSS KONKA NONGPO LA PASS (5,090m/16,699ft) 8 hours’ trekking.

DAY 26 :CROSS THE KONG MARU LA PASS (5,216m/17,257ft) less than 2 hours to the pass, END TREK AT SHANG SUMDO (3,745m12,287ft) 7½ hours’ trekking. DRIVE TO LEH, 1 hour’s drive

DAY 27 :AT LEISURE IN LEH.

DAY 28 : FLY TO DELHI, TRANSFER TO HOTEL.

DAY 29 :FLY TO Evening Transfer to International
